Six String Yada's first album »The Shape Of Yada To Come« has a brilliant mix of finesse and raw power. The band sure knows how to play and they do it with an irresistable energy, sometimes bordering to agrressiveness

Six String Yada play their own, contemporary version of ancient American Mountain music, mixed with punk, metal and psychobilly. Traditional songs are followed by covers of Ghost, Dropkick Murphys, Zombie Ghost Train and At The Gates. And it works in a perfectly natural way-

Agnes Brogeby (fiddle, vocals), Erling Bronsberg (banjo, vocals), Joans Bleckman (cello, vocals) och Simon Nyberg (guitar, vocals) all have different ways of appraching the old-time music. A great knowledge and understanding meets a refreshing lack of respect.

Six String Yada are based in the Swedish town Örebro. A town that, much thanks to the yearly festivals Live at Heart andFolk at Heart, has developed a very healthy climate for music. And it was during the last day of Folk at Heart in January 2014 that the band and the label met for the first time.

- I'd never heard of the band before but at midnight the last day of Folk At Heart somebody said I should check them out. After an intense 20 minutes show in a crowded hotel room I was completely overwhelmed and I had to check the 2.30 am show as well. And from my room, trying to sleep, I could hear the jam session between 4 and 6 am. I went from total ignorance to be a fan in record time, says Rootsy label boss Håkan Olsson.
